Actor Abhishek Banerjee is having a fun moment in the spotlight, as fans jokingly compare his recurring character Jana in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2) to Marvel’s iconic Nick Fury.

After his latest appearance in Thamma, social media lit up with posts dubbing him the “Nick Fury of Bollywood,” pointing out how he pops up across the Maddock universe just like Fury does in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Abhishek took the comparison in stride, sharing, “It honestly feels great to see fans connect my character with something as legendary as Nick Fury. Every time I step into Jana’s shoes, I discover something new about him. The fact that audiences eagerly wait for his return and shower him with so much love is truly overwhelming. I have been a fan of Avengers, and being compared to Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson, who is also one of my all-time favourite actors, is a huge compliment because he’s the glue that holds the Marvel universe together—like Jana holds the key to the MHCU universe. I can’t thank my stars enough for landing a role like Jana!”
