Abhinav Shukla gets death threat

Television personality Abhinav Shukla received a terrifying threat on Instagram from someone claiming to be connected to the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The disturbing allusion to the recent shooting at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's home in the message, which was full of sinister overtones, raised serious questions regarding Shukla's and his family's safety.

The incident unfolded shortly after Shukla’s wife, actor Rubina Dilaik, was embroiled in a verbal clash with rapper Asim Riaz on the reality show Battleground.

Tensions on the show had been simmering for weeks, with frequent arguments between the two celebrities. Matters escalated when Asim allegedly directed disrespectful comments at Rubina during a heated on-air exchange. In response to a fan query about the feud, Abhinav took a pointed dig at Riaz, tweeting: “All jacked up with , no brain and bad attitude is not a sign of fitness”

Following this, Shukla shared screenshots of a disturbing message he received on social media, sent by a user named Ankush Gupta. The threat, written in Hindi and translated by the actor, read: “I’m from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. I know where you live. Should I come over? Just like Salman Khan was shot at, I’ll shoot you at your house with an AK-47.”

The message went on to threaten not only Shukla but also his family and security personnel, claiming detailed knowledge of his daily whereabouts and issuing a chilling warning: “One last chance. Say anything about Asim again, and your name is on the list. Lawrence Bishnoi stands with Asim.”

Shukla took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a screen recording of the alleged sender’s Instagram profile, pointing out that the person appeared to be based in Chandigarh or Mohali. He tagged the Punjab and Chandigarh Police, urging swift intervention: “Received death threats to my family! Kindly take immediate and strict action.”

The actor subsequently disclosed that a portion of Asim Riaz's fan base had sent Rubina a flurry of hateful direct messages and disparaging remarks online. In order to determine the veracity of the threat and guarantee the couple's safety, authorities are presently looking into the situation.
