Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par will soon release in the theatres

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is all set to make a grand comeback with his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. The film has been in the making for months, and the film has reportedly locked the release date.

According to Pinkvilla, Sitaare Zameen Par will release on June 20, 2025, in the theatres. A source has revealed to the outlet, “Aamir is looking to capitalize on the open run in the month of June. Initially, he was contemplating to arrive on May 30 , but a June 20 release is giving him a two-week clear run at the box office.”

The source has also revealed that the film takes the fans on a laughter ride, and the promotion plans have also been scheduled.

The source said, “Aamir strongly believes in the content of Sitaare Zameen Par, as it rides on his formula of laughter-emotion-drama. He was looking for a good window and has found one with a June 20 release. The entire marketing plan of this social dramedy is locked.”

The latest update came after a photo from the film was leaked online. The viral photo appears to have been taken in a dubbing studio. In the pic, Aamir Khan can be seen sporting a white shirt and showing intense expressions.

The viral studio photo also showed a basketball court and a player named Sahil facing his back towards the camera. Additionally, a dialogue was displayed on the screen that reads, "Everybody calm down.”

The upcoming film is said to be a remake of the Spanish film ‘Champions’. The film also features Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary, who played Ishaan in the original film, in the pivotal roles.
