Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, has received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for its teaser.
The teaser, which runs for 1 minute and 19 seconds, was officially approved on March 24, clearing the way for its release. With its certification coming just ahead of Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar, speculation is high that the teaser might be attached to the film’s theatrical screenings.
However, sources cited by Pinkvilla have clarified that Sitaare Zameen Par's teaser will not be attached to Sikandar. Additionally, the teaser’s standalone release date has yet to be officially announced.
A source revealed that Aamir Khan has dedicated the past year to working on Sitaare Zameen Par and is preparing to release the slice-of-life sports drama in June 2025. The film's edit is nearly finalized, and Aamir is reportedly confident that it will resonate with audiences.

Sitaare Zameen Par was initially slated for a June 2025 release, a timeline Aamir Khan himself hinted at during a media interaction before his birthday. However, recent reports suggest that the makers are now eyeing May 30, 2025, as the new release date.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film features Aamir Khan in the role of an alcoholic coach who mentors a team of specially-abled children, guiding them towards the Paralympics. The movie will also star Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary in key roles.
