Aamir Khan, riding high on the success of Sitaare Zameen Par, has set the internet ablaze with his electrifying first look from Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-anticipated pan-India action drama Coolie. The film, which features a power-packed ensemble cast including superstar Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on August 14.
Interestingly, Coolie is slated to clash at the box office with the highly awaited War 2, making the Independence Day weekend one of the most anticipated cinematic battles of the year.
While Aamir Khan will be seen in a cameo appearance in Coolie, his character “Dahaa” has already become a talking point on social media.
The first look, released by Sun Pictures, shows Aamir in a rugged, intense avatar, exuding mystery and menace. The tweet read, “Introducing #AamirKhan as Dahaa, from the world of #Coolie. #Coolie is all set to dominate IMAX screens worldwide from August 14th.”
Fans flooded the post with reactions, calling the film an "all-time blockbuster" and praising Aamir’s commanding screen presence.

In an exclusive interview with Zoom back in June, Aamir had confirmed his special appearance in the film. While details of his role remain under wraps, his brief but pivotal character has already raised audience curiosity. Given the star power and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s track record of delivering high-octane, stylized action films, expectations are sky-high.
Coolie marks a significant cinematic collaboration, combining the might of Indian film industries across languages. Originally shot in Tamil, the film will also release in Hindi and Telugu, ensuring a wide reach. With Rajinikanth leading the cast and Aamir adding his charm in a cameo, the film promises a feast for fans of mass entertainers.
