Veteran actor Achyut Potdar died on August 18 due to heart-related issues. Soon after the reports of his death were confirmed, several fans and actors started pouring out emotional tributes.
Aamir Khan, who co-starred with Achyut Potdar in 3 Idiots, took to his social media and paid tribute. He shared an official statement on his Instagram Story on his production house handle. He expressed grief in the emotional message.
The statement reads, “I am very saddened to hear about Achyutji passing away. He was an amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and a great colleague. We will miss you, Achyutji. My heartfelt condolences to his family.”

However, Jackie Shroff has also paid tribute to the veteran actor. He took to his Instagram Story and shared a never-before-seen throwback photo of himself with Achyut Potdar. Alongside the photo, he penned in the caption, “This pic with Achyut ji will always be in my heart.”

In the pic, Jackie twins in blue with Achyut Potdar while saying something in his ear. The picture seems to have been taken at an award function.
Achyut Potdar's versatility and respectable on-screen persona made a lasting impression on Indian cinema. Alongside Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi, he became well-known for his portrayal of a strict but lovable college professor in the film 3 Idiots.
His scathing remark, "Kehna kya chahte ho, (What are you trying to say)" went viral and is still used in memes and pop culture.
