Aamir Khan hopes to begin filming Mahabharat in 2025, says, "That's one of my biggest ambitions"

Aamir Khan shares his biggest ambition of this year

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is gearing up for his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor has recently created a buzz among his fans with the update on his second upcoming project.

During a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir Khan expressed his excitement about the upcoming Mahabharat, starring him in the lead role.

The actor has recently confirmed his involvement in the project, and now he has called the film his “ambition.” He also shared his hopes to begin work on a multi-film adaptation of the Mahabharat this year.

Aamir said, “The one other ambition that I have, which I’m hoping to start work on this year, is you know, working on the Mahabharat. That’s one of my biggest ambitions. So fingers crossed, hoping to start this year.”

The actor is reported to be making a high-budget film based on the Mahabharata.

Aamir Khan took a break from acting after his last film, Laal Singh Chaddha, failed to perform well at the box office. The actor will soon return to the silver screen with his film Sitaare Zameen Par. Taare Zameen Par sequel features an ensemble cast including  Aamir, Darsheel Safary, and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles.

Filmmaker RS Prasanna will direct the sequel, which is based on the 2018 Spanish film Champions. The film is currently in post-production and is scheduled to release in 2025.
