Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par, recently created a buzz among his fans with the update on the multi-film adaptation of the Mahabharata.
The actor confirmed his involvement in the film and revealed that he is expecting the film to go on the floors this year. However, the actor has now revealed that he wanted to play Krishna in the adaptation of the epic.
During a recent conversation at the India@2047 Summit hosted by ABP Live, Aamir admitted that the film remains close to his heart and that he finds the character of Krishna deeply impactful.
The actor said, “Yeh mera sapna hai ke main bana paun Mahabharat, lekin bohot mushkil sapna hai woh… (It is my dream to make the Mahabharat, but it’s a very difficult dream).” He explained, “see, Mahabharat will never let you down… but you might let Mahabharat down.”
While responding to which character he would like to play in the film, Aamir said, “Actually… mujhe Krishna ka kirdaar bahot hi prabhavit karta hai… I’m very inspired by him. So that’s a character I really love (I find the character of Krishna deeply impactful. So that’s a character I really love)."
The actor further added, “Kyunki yeh bahot bada project hai, toh main kuch badi cheezein bolna nahi chah raha hoon (Since this is such a big project, I don’t want to say anything major right now)."
