Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar trailer drops, special film festival to honour the actor's illustrative career

In a grand tribute to one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated actors, PVR INOX, the country’s largest and most prestigious cinema exhibition company, has announced Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar, a special film festival honouring Aamir Khan’s illustrious career.

The festival, which has already generated immense excitement among moviegoers, will take audiences on a cinematic journey through the works of the legendary actor and filmmaker.

Amid the growing anticipation, a star-studded press conference was held in Mumbai, where Aamir Khan was joined by eminent screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar, along with PVR founder Ajay Bijli, for an engaging discussion.

Together, the trio unveiled the trailer for Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar, offering fans a glimpse of the magic that awaits. Set to commence on March 14, coinciding with Aamir Khan’s birthday, the festival will run until March 27, celebrating his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema.

While speaking about Aamir Khan, Javed Akhtar said, "Here are some many Characters. I fear I might forget a few. Aamir was born in 1965, I started in 1965 in Bollywood. Aamir worked in the first film written by me. I was writing the film Faryaaz in Panchgani for Nassir Hussain. He saw Aamir and immediately told Nassir that he is a star and he should start with a romantic film. Aamir’s first film was produced was written by Javed. My son’s first film was with Aamir."

Aamir Khan shared with Javed Akhtar that after declining Farhan Akhtar's request for a script hearing, he had been expecting a follow-up call from Javed. However, when the call never came, Aamir realized that Farhan must have never approached Javed about it, indicating how deeply Farhan believed in him and his instincts.

"Only Aamir could have believed in these charechter and stories. Aamir did a film with Ashutosh with whom he had a flop before. A new director Farhan came to you with a 3 heroes film and you did it. Who would have done Dangal in their right mind. Role of such an old man who loses to his daughter in kushti. All actors work in films of directors who have given hits. You take chances no other can," Added Javed Akhtar.

PVR INOX theatres nationwide are set to host Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar, offering fans a chance to experience the brilliance of Aamir Khan’s most iconic performances once again on the big screen.
