Aamir Khan calls Virat Kohli a perfectionist

Fans were thrilled to see Bollywood star Aamir Khan taking in the intense cricket action during the Indian Premier League 2025 final between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS).

The actor, who is currently promoting his next movie Sitaare Zameen Par, was spotted providing live commentary in both Hindi and Bhojpuri during the RCB's innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Known for his meticulous approach and attention to detail in cinema, Aamir was inevitably asked which cricketer he believed shared his reputation as a “perfectionist.”

Responding with his trademark humility and insight, Aamir said he regarded cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar as the ultimate perfectionist. He went on to add, “In the present, I think Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah suit the same title.”

Aamir’s words resonated with many. Sachin Tendulkar, affectionately known as the “Master Blaster,” retired from international cricket in November 2013. Since then, Virat Kohli has stepped into the limelight, redefining batting records across formats. Notably, Kohli surpassed Tendulkar’s long-standing record for the most One-Day International (ODI) centuries in 2023, further cementing his legacy. Kohli, who continues to shine for RCB, remains a fan favourite for his consistency, aggression, and discipline.

Genelia D'Souza co-stars with ten new actors in the film. The inspirational sports drama, which was co-produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit and directed by R.S. Prasanna, is scheduled to hit theatres on June 20, 2025.
