Indian cinema is once again taking center stage internationally, with a wave of compelling films set to screen at prestigious global festivals.

From Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar premiering at TIFF 2025 to Rima Das’s Village Rockstars 2 heading to Berlin, here are five standout films making India proud on the world stage:

Bandar (Monkey in a Cage) – Directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, this bold drama starring Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025.

Homebound – A poignant slice-of-life drama by Neeraj Ghaywan, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, Homebound follows its Cannes premiere with a Toronto screening.

Difficult Daughters – Helmed by Soni Razdan and backed by Alia and Shaheen Bhatt, this indie gem is one of four Indian films in the Asia Projects Market at the Busan International Film Festival.
