Uttar Pradesh Announces State-Wide Holiday

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confirmed the public holiday for the entire state. The announcement comes in response to requests from the Valmiki community and aims to honor the profound contributions of Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana.

As per the state government's directive, all schools, colleges, and government offices will remain closed on this day. The state is set to observe the occasion with special pujas, cultural programs, and community events celebrating the saint's legacy.

Delhi Government Follows Suit, CM Rekha Gupta to Attend Events

Echoing the sentiment, the Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has also declared a public holiday on October 7. All government offices under the Delhi administration will remain closed.

The capital city will host various tribute meetings, processions, and cultural programs, which the Chief Minister is expected to attend.
