The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to release the notification for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA/NA) II 2025 today, 28 May. Candidates who want to join the Indian Armed Forces can check and download the official notification from the UPSC website upsc.gov.in.

The application process will begin and will remain open until 17 June 2025. Candidates are advised not to wait until the last day, as technical issues close to the deadline are common.

The written examination is scheduled to take place on 14 September 2025. This exam is conducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA, as well as for the Indian Naval Academy under the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme.

How to Apply for NDA/NA II 2025

Candidates can follow these steps to complete their application:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on the link for the NDA/NA II 2025 notification available on the homepage
  3. Complete the registration by entering personal details
  4. Log in with your credentials and fill out the application form
  5. Upload the necessary documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form
  6. Download and save the confirmation page for future use

Exam Structure

The selection process consists of a written exam followed by the SSB interview. The written exam includes two papers: Mathematics and the General Ability Test (GAT). Mathematics carries 300 marks, while GAT is worth 600 marks. To qualify, candidates must secure at least 25% marks in each section.

Those who clear the written test will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, which is scored out of 900 marks. The interview is held in two stages. The first stage includes Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT). The second stage consists of group tasks, psychological assessments, and a final conference.
