UPSC CSE Admit Card

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims 2025 admit card on its website. Aspirants who have registered for the UPSC CSE Prelims can now download their hall tickets from the official portals – upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in. The preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on May 25, 2025.

  • Total Vacancies: 979 posts are available this year.
  • Next Stage: Candidates who clear the prelims will be eligible for the UPSC Mains, which will be conducted from August 22, 2025, in a descriptive format over five days.
How to download UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Admit Card?

Follow these steps to download your hall ticket:

Step 1. Visit the official website – upsc.gov.in or upsconline.gov.in.

Step 2. Click on the “e-Admit Card: UPSC CSE (P) 2025” link.

Step 3. Enter your registration ID/roll number and date of birth.

Step 4. Submit the details and download your admit card.

Important Details to Verify on the Admit Card

Candidates must carefully check the following details on their admit card:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Photograph
  • QR code

In case of any discrepancies, candidates must immediately contact UPSC via email at uscsp-upsc@nic.in. While raising a grievance, aspirants must provide their name, roll number, registration ID, and examination details for quick resolution.

Special Instructions for Candidates

Unclear Photograph: If the photo on the admit card is not clear or lacks the candidate’s name and date, they must carry two passport-sized photos (with name and date) along with a valid photo ID to the exam center.

Own Scribe Facility: Candidates who have opted for their own scribe must ensure the scribe carries a separate e-Admit Card.

Entry Rules: Candidates must arrive before the entry closure time – 9 AM for the morning session and 2 PM for the afternoon session. Latecomers will not be permitted.

UPSC CSE Selection Process

The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages:

  • Preliminary Exam (Objective) – May 25, 2025
  • Main Exam (Descriptive) – August 22, 2025 (5 days)
  • Personality Test (Interview)

Final selection is based on cumulative performance in the Mains and Interview, with the highest scorers making it to the final merit list.
