In an unexpected incident during the ongoing UP Board examinations, the high school mathematics paper was inadvertently shared in an official WhatsApp group in Etah on Saturday. The question paper remained visible in the group for 13 minutes before being removed. An FIR has been lodged against the center administrator of Chaudhary BL Inter College, and an investigation is underway, as reported by News18.

The incident occurred during the first shift of the high school mathematics examination, which began at 8:30 AM. At approximately 9:37 am, the centre administrator of Chaudhary BL Inter College, Anju Yadav, accidentally shared a photo of the question paper in the official WhatsApp group of the secondary education department. The group includes 125 officials, including the District Magistrate (DM), District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), static magistrates, sector magistrates, and center superintendents.

Static Magistrate Dr. Brijesh Kumar, who was on duty, immediately noticed the shared image and reported the matter to the Jaithra police station. He stated that the paper remained in the group for 13 minutes before being removed. DIOS Dr. Indrajit Singh was also informed about the incident, and an FIR was filed against the centre administrator.

According to Dr. Indrajit Singh, the sharing of the paper was unintentional. He explained that the centre administrator was attempting to send a photo of the attendance sheet to the group but mistakenly captured and shared the question paper instead. Upon realizing the error, her phone was confiscated, and a report was filed. The DIOS emphasized that there was no malicious intent behind the incident.

The mathematics examination was conducted at 92 centres across Etah, with 19,978 students registered for the exam. Of these, 18,050 students appeared, while 1,928 were absent. At Chaudhary BL Inter College, 336 students were scheduled to take the exam, with 315 in attendance and 15 absent.

Following the incident, the centre administrator was removed from her position, and Prashna Kumar, the spokesperson of Government Inter College (GIC), was appointed as her replacement. The UP Board has been informed about the matter, and further action is expected to be taken.

The police are currently investigating the incident, and the confiscated mobile phone is being examined for evidence. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the integrity of the examination process and preventing such incidents in the future.
