The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has officially released the provisional selection list for the Group-II Services (General) recruitment. The selection is based on the performance in the Group 2 written examination, which was conducted across the state on December 15 and 16, 2024, and the subsequent General Ranking List published on March 11, 2025.

Provisional Appointment: The success in the examination does not guarantee a final appointment. The selection is "provisional" and contingent upon the candidate satisfying the appointing authority regarding their character, antecedents, and physical fitness for the respective post.

Vacancy Breakdown: Out of the total vacancies, 782 candidates have been provisionally selected. One vacancy has been kept withheld, as per the official notification.

Sports Quota Adjustment: The recruitment drive notified 08 vacancies under the sports quota. Due to a lack of eligible candidates, only one of these was filled through the quota. The remaining 07 vacancies were converted to the Open Category (OC) and filled by meritorious candidates from the general ranking list.

Prospective candidates must be aware that the final selection list is subject to the outcome of several pending legal cases. The TGPSC notification specifically mentions that the list is liable to change based on the orders in Writ Petition Nos. 35015/2024, 36518/2024, 35418/2024, 18544/2025, 15546/2025, 22332/2025 & W.A No. 821/2025, as well as any other related petitions.

The Commission has also issued a stern warning that if any candidate is found to have furnished false information or if their selection is rendered invalid due to any omission or commission on their part, the provisional selection will be cancelled immediately. In such cases, candidates will forfeit all consequential benefits, and the TGPSC reserves the right to take further action as per its rules.
