The list of selected students for the scholarship will also be published under the “National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination” section of the website.

This year, more than 2.3 lakh Class 8 students from government and government-aided schools appeared for the NMMS exam, conducted for the academic year 2024–2025. The examination aims to identify and support meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds by providing financial aid.

The NMMS scheme is a centrally funded programme that provides financial assistance to students who perform well in school but come from families with limited income. Selected students will receive a scholarship every year to help them continue their studies through secondary and higher secondary levels.

Students who have qualified for the scholarship should follow the next steps as directed by their school or the DGE. This may include submitting documents for verification and completing procedures for scholarship disbursement.

In case of any issues or queries, students are advised to contact their school authorities or visit the official website for more information and updates.
