The Government of Telangana has declared the schedule for the upcoming Dussehra holidays for the academic year 2025. The announcement provides a detailed calendar for schools and junior colleges across the state.
The directive, aimed at allowing students and staff to celebrate the festival with their families, specifies different vacation periods for schools and junior colleges.

For School Students:
All schools are mandated to complete their Formative Assessment - 2 (FA-2) examinations before the holidays commence on September 21. Following the break, students will immediately prepare for the first major exams of the year. The Summative Assessment - 1 (SA-1) exams are scheduled to be held from October 24 to October 31, 2025. The results for the SA-1 exams are expected to be announced by November 6, 2025.
For Junior College Students:
Students in junior colleges will have a brief period after the holidays to prepare for their Half-Yearly Examinations, which are set to take place from November 10 to November 15, 2025.
Educational institutions have been advised to plan their academic calendar accordingly to ensure a smooth transition into the examination phase after the festivities conclude. Parents and students are encouraged to plan their holidays while keeping the important examination dates in mind.
