SSC MTS Vacancy 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced a recruitment drive for 2025, inviting online applications for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar posts. As per the latest SSC MTS 2025 notification, a total of 8021 vacancies have been declared across various categories, offering a major opportunity for candidates seeking government jobs.

This recruitment cycle aims to fill a number of positions in central government departments and ministries. The application process is expected to commence shortly on the official SSC website (ssc.nic.in).

A detailed analysis of the vacancy table reveals a comprehensive reservation policy. The total vacancies are distributed across three distinct groups: Total (A), Total (B), and Total (C), which typically correspond to different regions or specific requisitions.

Key Highlights from the SSC MTS Vacancy Data:

  • Highest Vacancies by Category: The Unreserved (UR) category has the highest number of openings with 3713 posts, followed by OBC with 1994 vacancies.
  • Reserved Categories: A significant number of vacancies are reserved for EWS (817), SC (870), and ST (627) candidates, ensuring inclusive opportunities.
  • PwD Reservations: The commission has also allocated vacancies for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), with 89 for OH and HH, 64 for VH, and 71 under the "Other PwD" category.
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 738 vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen, as per government norms.

The SSC MTS exam is conducted to recruit candidates for non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various Central Government departments, subordinate offices, and ministries. The roles primarily involve routine clerical and maintenance tasks.

The Havaldar post is specifically for the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN). The role is more physically demanding and involves guard-related duties.

With the vacancy details now public, aspiring candidates should begin their preparation in earnest. The SSC MTS exam typically consists of two computer-based tests: Paper-I (objective type) and Paper-II (descriptive qualifying nature).

Applicants are advised to regularly check the official SSC website (ssc.nic.in) for the detailed notification and application link.

Carefully read the eligibility criteria regarding age limit, educational qualification (likely Matriculation/10th pass), and physical standards (especially for Havaldar posts).
