The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the results for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2025 (Paper-I). Candidates who appeared for the computer-based test can now check their shortlisting status for the next stage of the recruitment process.
The SSC conducted the JE Paper-I examination nationwide from December 3 to December 6, 2025, and on December 13, 2025. The exam was held in multiple shifts across various centers in the country, attracting a large number of aspirants for the prestigious engineering posts.
Given that the examination was conducted across multiple shifts, the Commission has utilized a normalization formula to ensure fairness and equity in merit determination. According to an official notice released by the SSC, the normalized scores—calculated based on the formula published on June 2, 2025—have been used to process the results.
To qualify for Paper-I, candidates were required to meet the minimum qualifying marks as stipulated in Para 18.1 of the notice:
Only those who have secured the minimum qualifying marks (based on normalized scores) and rank high enough in the merit list have been shortlisted to appear for Paper-II.
Final Answer Keys Released
The SSC has confirmed that all representations received from candidates regarding the Tentative Answer Keys were carefully reviewed. Following this review, the answer keys have been revised where necessary.
The Final Answer Keys have now been utilized to process the results of Paper I. The Commission has announced that it will soon upload the following documents to its official website:
This move allows candidates to verify their responses and understand their score calculation in detail.
With the declaration of the Paper-I results, attention now turns to the next hurdle: Paper-II (Computer-Based Examination). While the specific dates for Paper-II have not been announced yet, the SSC has assured candidates that the schedule will be made available on the website shortly.
Shortlisted candidates are advised to regularly visit the official SSC website (ssc.nic.in) for updates regarding exam dates, admit cards, and other instructions.
