The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has rescheduled the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2024. Candidates who were set to appear for the typing test can now check the revised schedule on the official website ssc.gov.in.
Revised SSC CGL DEST Exam Date
The SSC has announced that the DEST Typing Test, initially conducted in Shift 2 on 18 January 2025, was cancelled. The revised exam date is now 31 January 2025, with the test scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
The official notice stated, “The Typing Test (Data Entry Speed Test) of the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024, conducted in Shift-II on 18 January 2025, has been cancelled and has now been rescheduled to be conducted on 31 January 2025, Examination Start Time: 01:00 PM. An Important Notice in this regard has already been uploaded on the website of the Commission on 20.01.2025.”
Exam Pattern and Exemptions
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted from 9 to 24 September 2024, and the provisional answer key was released on 3 October 2024. The objection window closed on 8 October 2024. Through this recruitment drive, SSC aims to fill 17,727 vacancies under Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various central government departments.
