The State Bank of India (SBI) has revised the dates for the SBI Probationary Officers (PO) Preliminary Examination 2025. Candidates can check the updated schedule on the official website of SBI at sbi.co.in.

As per the latest notice, the tentative dates for the SBI PO Preliminary Examination are:

• March 8, 2025
• March 16, 2025
• March 24, 2025

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The SBI PO Preliminary Examination will be conducted online and will consist of objective-type questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam will have three sections:

• English Language
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Reasoning Ability

The selection process includes a category-wise merit list, which will be based on the total marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering approximately 10 times the number of available vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Candidates should note that there is a penalty for wrong answers in the objective test. For each incorrect answer, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. However, no penalty will be applied for unanswered questions.

The call letters for the Preliminary Examination, including the exact date, time, and exam centre details, will be released soon on the official website. Candidates must keep their call letter and authenticated ID proof safe, as these will not be collected at the exam venue but will be checked and stamped by exam officials.

The SBI PO 2025 recruitment process began on December 27, 2024, and ended on January 19, 2025. Through this drive, 600 vacancies will be filled in the organisation. For further details and updates, candidates should visit the official SBI website.
