RTE Gujarat Admission 2025

Gujarat RTE Round 3 Admission 2025: The Gujarat education department has started the third round of admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2025, starting today, June 2, for over 9,000 vacant seats across the state. This follows the completion of the first two admission rounds, which saw a significant number of students securing seats in private and unaided schools under the 25% quota mandated by the RTE Act.

Parents of students who were not allotted seats in the previous rounds can participate in this phase. However, they will not be allowed to modify their school preferences. The admission allotment will be based on the choices already submitted during earlier rounds. The window for re-selection remains open until June 4, 2025.

As per official data, 85,760 students successfully confirmed their admissions within the stipulated time frame after the first two rounds. Despite this, 9,157 seats remain unfilled across various mediums of instruction. The breakdown of vacant seats is as follows:

  • English Medium: 5,263 seats
  • Gujarati Medium: 1,800 seats
  • Hindi Medium: 1,920 seats
  • Marathi Medium: 30 seats
  • Odia Medium: 105 seats
  • Urdu Medium: 39 seats
Next Steps for Parents

Parents whose children were not admitted in the earlier rounds are advised to check the official RTE Gujarat portal ([insert official link]) for updates. Since no fresh selections are permitted, the third round will automatically consider existing preferences. Successful candidates will need to complete admission formalities promptly to secure their seats.

Future Rounds and Policy Considerations

If vacancies persist after Round 3, the education department may consider additional rounds or reallocation strategies. Authorities are also reviewing feedback to streamline the process for future academic years.

The RTE Act ensures free and compulsory education for children from economically weaker sections, and the Gujarat government continues to emphasize transparency and accessibility in the admission process. Parents are encouraged to stay updated through official channels to avoid missing critical deadlines.
