Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday announced that the state government will organise educational tours via air travel for meritorious students from government schools. The initiative is aimed at providing exposure and learning opportunities by taking top-performing students to premier educational institutions across the country.
Addressing an event attended by outstanding students from all districts, Mann said the tours will help broaden their understanding and support their academic and personal growth. The event was held to recognise the achievements of these students and was described as a first-of-its-kind effort by the state government.
The Chief Minister praised the hard work and dedication of the students, while also acknowledging the support of their parents and teachers. He said the students had worked hard to achieve their success, but this would not have been possible without the guidance and encouragement of their families and school staff.
Mann also advised students to carefully select their role models in their fields of interest and work towards their goals with determination. He said that by achieving this level of excellence, they had now become role models for others, especially their juniors, and had a responsibility to inspire their peers to do well.
He said that his government is committed to promoting healthy competition among students, as it helps them improve and succeed. Mann added that the focus now is on ensuring that Punjab’s youth become job providers instead of job seekers.
