Breaking away from tradition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 in an open-air setting at Delhi’s Sunder Nursery, creating a unique and refreshing atmosphere for interaction with students. This year’s edition saw record participation, with over 3.5 crore students, teachers, and parents joining the discussion.
In a candid and engaging session, PM Modi urged students to focus on learning rather than exam results. He used the analogy of a cricketer concentrating on the next ball instead of worrying about the outcome, emphasizing that education should be a continuous process, not just a marks-oriented pursuit.
PM Modi highlighted the importance of a balanced diet and wellness, saying that “Absence of illness does not mean wellness.” He discussed detailed nutrition guidelines, the significance of ‘Suryasnan’ (sun exposure), and the role of yoga in managing stress. To drive the point home, he personally distributed Til Laddoos to students, reinforcing the need for traditional and healthy foods.
On mental well-being, the PM advised students to share their feelings with family and friends instead of bottling up stress. Using the pressure cooker analogy, he explained how unexpressed emotions can lead to breakdowns and encouraged students to seek support when needed.
PM Modi shared his leadership philosophy, stressing that true leaders earn respect through their actions rather than demanding it. He encouraged students to lead by example and always be present where work is needed, promoting the mantra: “Jaha kaam, waha hum” (Where there is work, we are there).
In an insightful segment, the PM revealed how he manages time effectively despite his demanding schedule. He suggested simple techniques such as maintaining task lists, tracking progress, and focusing on the present moment to enhance productivity.
PM Modi appealed to parents to support their children’s holistic development and not compare them with others. He emphasized that nurturing talent beyond academics is crucial for personal growth.
In a lighter moment, PM Modi shared that if he were not the Prime Minister, he would have chosen to work in the Skill Development Ministry, underscoring his belief in the transformative power of vocational skills.
Responding to a student’s question on climate change, PM Modi introduced the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, encouraging students to plant trees in honor of their mothers. He reiterated that we have two mothers—one who gives us birth and another, Mother Nature, who sustains us.
The session concluded with students expressing their appreciation through a unique flower clapping gesture, symbolizing gratitude. As the event wrapped up, PM Modi playfully advised students not to act bossy at home just because they now had a direct conversation with the Prime Minister!
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 proved to be more than just an exam-focused discussion—it was a lesson in life, leadership, and lifelong learning.
