The registration process for the 8th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s annual interaction with students, teachers, and parents, has concluded with over 3.5 crore registrations. This marks a record-breaking milestone for the event, which aims to transform exam-related stress into a positive and engaging experience.
The online registration, hosted on the MyGov.in portal, ran from 14 December 2024 to 14 January 2025. Participants from across India and abroad signed up. The Ministry of Education described the overwhelming response as a “true Jan Andolan,” reflecting the program’s broad appeal and importance.
The interactive event, organised annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, has become a cornerstone in addressing the mental well-being of students. It promotes a constructive and celebratory approach to examinations.
In preparation for PPC 2025, various school-level activities began on 12 January and will continue until 23 January, which is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti. These activities include indigenous games, meme competitions, and street plays (nukkad nataks), aimed at encouraging holistic development among students.
The main event, to be held in a town hall format at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, will feature Prime Minister Modi answering questions from participants. These questions often address topics such as managing examination stress, career planning, future aspirations, and general life advice. The exact date for the 2025 event is yet to be announced.
PPC’s growing impact is evident when compared to last year’s edition, which saw 2.26 crore registrations and was held on 29 January 2024 at Bharat Mandapam. The first edition of the program took place in February 2018 and has since become a highly anticipated annual event.
