The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the exam date for the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023. As per the official notice, the Odisha OCS Prelims will be conducted on October 27, 2024.
"It is for information of all concerned that, the Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 27.10.2024 (Sunday). The detailed programme of the said examination shall be notified later," reads the official notice from the Commission.

The Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the selection process for various Odisha government services. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main examination.
Exam Pattern
Two compulsory papers:
Marks: Each paper carries 200 marks, making a total of 400 marks for the preliminary stage.
Duration: Two hours are allotted for each paper.
Negative Marking
To discourage random guessing, there will be a negative marking scheme. For each incorrect answer, 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
