The Odisha Police SI Exam 2025, scheduled for 8 and 9 March, has been postponed. The new dates will be announced soon on the official OPRB website.

The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has announced the postponement of the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Exam 2025, which was initially scheduled for 8 and 9 March 2025. The decision was made due to certain internal circumstances within the Odisha State Department. The revised dates for the examination will be notified on the official OPRB website at odishapolice.gov.in.

The official notice stated, “This is to inform you that the Combined Police Service Examination -2024 scheduled to be held on 8th & 9th March 2025 is deferred for the time being. Further intimation will be made later.”

Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for updates regarding the new exam schedule.

Recruitment Details

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 933 vacancies for the posts of:

  • Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police (Armed)
  • Station Officers (Fire Service)
  • Assistant Jailors

Selection Process for Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025

The selection process includes multiple stages:

  1. Written Examination: Candidates are tested on General English, Odia Language, General Studies, and a Technical Paper (only for Station Officer-Fire Service).
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): These assess the candidates’ physical fitness.
  3. Document Verification: Candidates' educational and personal documents are verified.
  4. Medical Examination: Ensures candidates meet the required health standards.

Odisha Police SI Exam Pattern 2025

The written exam consists of three papers:

  • Paper 1: General English and Odia Language (100 marks, 90 minutes)
  • Paper 2: General Studies (200 marks, 180 minutes)
  • Paper 3: Technical Paper (only for Station Officer-Fire Service, 200 marks, 180 minutes)

Since the exam has been postponed, candidates should continue their preparation and keep checking the official website for further notifications. Any new updates regarding the examination will be published by the OPRB in due course.
