NIOS Postpones Exams in Bihar due to Assembly Elections, Check details here

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has postponed several exams in Bihar because of the ongoing assembly elections in the state. The exams originally scheduled for November 6, 10, and 11 will now be held on later dates, which will be announced soon.

According to NIOS, this postponement applies only to exam centres located in Bihar. Exams at centres outside the state and abroad will continue as per the original timetable. Students have been advised to keep checking the official website of NIOS for regular updates and notifications about the revised schedule.

The postponed exams include subjects from both the secondary and higher secondary levels.

On November 6, the higher secondary exams for Physics, History, Environmental Science, and Library and Information Science have been postponed. At the secondary level, the exam for Painting will also be rescheduled.

On November 10, the higher secondary exams in Biology, Accountancy, Introduction to Law, and Military History have been delayed. Similarly, at the secondary level, exams for Urdu, Sanskrit, Indian Sign Language, and Buddhist Philosophy have been postponed.

On November 11, the higher secondary exams for Mathematics and Vedic Studies and the secondary exam for English have been affected.

NIOS has confirmed that the new exam dates for all these subjects will be announced shortly.

NIOS has urged students in Bihar to keep visiting the official website for updates on the new exam dates. The institute has also made it clear that exams outside Bihar will continue as scheduled.

Students appearing for secondary and higher secondary exams in other states or abroad should continue their preparations according to the existing timetable. NIOS has assured that postponed exams in Bihar will be reorganised systematically, allowing affected students sufficient time to prepare.
