NIOS Board Exam 2025

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will begin the NIOS Board Examination 2025 for Class 10 and Class 12 today, October 14. Thousands of students across the country are set to appear for the senior secondary and secondary level tests, which will run through November 18, 2025.

The examinations are being conducted in a single shift, providing a consistent schedule for all candidates. Aspirants should note the daily timings carefully to avoid any last-minute confusion.

The NIOS has streamlined the exam schedule for both classes. The tests will predominantly be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. However, for certain specific papers, the duration will be shorter, concluding at 4:30 PM. Students are advised to double-check their date sheet for the exact timings of each paper.

  • Exam Start Date: October 14, 2025
  • Class 12 First Paper: Early Childhood Care and Education
  • Class 10 First Paper: Sanskrit Sahitya/ Entrepreneurship
  • All India Exam End Date: November 18, 2025

This extended window allows for a structured and organized conduct of the numerous subject-wise examinations.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination experience, the NIOS has released a set of mandatory guidelines. All students must adhere to the following protocols:

Hall Ticket is Mandatory: The NIOS admit card is the most crucial document for entry. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall without a valid hall ticket.

Punctuality is Key: Students must arrive at their designated exam centre well before the time specified on their admit card. Latecomers may be denied entry.

Carry Essential Stationery: Bring your own blue/black ballpoint pen and any other stationery items explicitly mentioned in the admit card instructions.

Strict Prohibition on Electronics: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators (unless permitted), or any other electronic gadgets are strictly banned from the exam premises. Carrying such items could lead to disqualification.

NIOS Result 2025

Following the conclusion of the examinations, students can expect their results to be declared within approximately seven weeks after the last exam date (November 18). The NIOS has stated that it will not entertain any inquiries regarding the exact result declaration date.

For the latest updates, detailed date sheets, and other crucial information, students and parents are encouraged to regularly check the official NIOS website at www.nios.ac.in.
