The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 was successfully conducted on August 03, with more than 2,42,000 candidates appearing for the examination. The test was held in a single shift across 301 cities and 1,052 test centers, making it the largest computer-based medical entrance exam in India conducted in one shift.

Enhanced Security Measures to Ensure Fair Conduct
  • To maintain the integrity of the examination, NBEMS implemented strict anti-cheating measures, including:
  • Deployment of 2,200+ faculty members from medical colleges and hospitals to monitor exam centers.
  • Collaboration with state chief secretaries and DGPs to ensure law and order, cybersecurity, and uninterrupted power supply.
  • Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) support to prevent digital malpractice, with 300 cyber commandos stationed at sensitive centers.
  • Live CCTV surveillance from all centers monitored by 200+ NBEMS personnel in real-time.
  • Mobile signal jammers installed at all centers to block communication.
  • Flying squads comprising senior faculty and medical college deans conducted surprise inspections.

NEET-PG serves as the gateway for admissions to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges nationwide. With the exam now concluded, candidates await the results, which will determine their eligibility for further counseling and seat allocation.
