Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025

The Right to Education (RTE) 25% admission selection list has been released, following the lottery draw conducted on February 10, 2025. Parents of shortlisted candidates will have from February 14 to February 28 to complete the admission formalities.

To ensure a smooth verification process, verification committees have been set up under the chairmanship of Group Education Officers and Administrative Officers in various districts across the state. These committees will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing documents submitted by parents
  • Granting provisional admissions based on document verification
  • Recording admissions online once documents are validated

After an initial document check, selected students will receive a provisional allotment letter, and their admission will be confirmed once verification is successfully completed.

Parents who fail to complete document verification within the specified timeframe will be given two additional opportunities to do so. However, admissions secured using false or misleading information will be canceled at any stage upon discovery.

Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025: Important Guidelines for Parents

  • Parents should directly contact the verification committee for updates instead of relying on SMS notifications.
  • The RTE portal should be checked regularly for the latest updates regarding admissions.
  • No admissions will be permitted beyond the deadline, even if seats remain vacant.
  • No appeals will be considered once the admission process is closed.
  • Parents must beware of fraudulent admission offers and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

Maharashtra RTE admission process is conducted under the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, aimed at providing educational access to children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups. Parents are advised to stay informed and complete the verification process within the given timeframe to secure their child’s admission.
