The Maharashtra School Education Department has initiated the application process for the Right to Education (RTE) admissions for the academic year 2025-26. As per the RTE Act, 25% of seats in private schools across the state are reserved for children from economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups. The application period is open from January 14th to January 27th, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for RTE admissions, children must come from families with an annual household income of less than Rs. 1 lakh. Applicants are also allowed to select up to 10 preferred schools during the application process. Additionally, students who have already been admitted under the RTE quota in previous years are not eligible to apply again.
