The Karnataka Department of School Education will begin the Right to Education (RTE) admissions for the academic year 2025-26 today, April 15. Parents and guardians can apply online through the official portal at schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in.
The state government released the RTE admission guidelines on March 25, 2025, followed by the preliminary list of eligible government, aided, and unaided schools on March 28. Objections regarding neighborhood schools had to be submitted by April 4, after which the final list of schools and available seats will be published.
To assist applicants, the department opened a trial registration window from April 9 to April 11, allowing parents to familiarize themselves with the online process before the official commencement.
