The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KIA) has postponed the written examination for the recruitment of 402 Police Sub Inspectors (PSI). The new exam date is now set for September 28, 2024.
The decision to postpone the exam came after persistent requests from candidates and BJP leaders. Home Minister Dr. Parameshwar announced the revised date, citing concerns about a scheduling conflict with other important national exams.
Earlier, the KIA had announced that the PSI exam would be held on September 22. However, many candidates expressed concerns about overlapping with the UPSC Civil Services Mains and SSC CGL Tier 1 Prelims exams.
In response to the candidates' pleas, the KIA and the state government decided to reschedule the PSI exam to avoid any inconvenience to the aspirants. The new date, September 28, ensures that candidates can focus on their preparations without the added stress of conflicting exam schedules.
