The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has confirmed that the Class 11 exams in soft zone areas will be conducted as per schedule today despite snowfall concerns.

An official from JKBOSE stated that no exams were scheduled in hard zone areas today, and postponing the soft zone exams at this stage would be impractical as the information may not reach all examination centers on time.

The JKBOSE clarified that at this moment, postponing the exam is not feasible since not all centers can be informed immediately. Hence, the exams in soft zone areas will continue as scheduled.

To ensure that no student faces academic loss due to adverse weather conditions, JKBOSE has decided to accommodate students who are unable to reach their exam centers today. These students will be allowed to take the exam when the same paper is conducted for hard zone areas.

"No student will be at a disadvantage. Those who miss today's exam due to snowfall will be permitted to write the exam along with students from hard zone areas when their exams take place," the official assured.

According to the official date sheet, the subjects scheduled for today's soft zone examination include Computer Science, Physical Education, Vedic Studies, Environmental Science, Buddhist Studies, Food Technology, Electronics, Hotel Management, and other related subjects.

For students in hard zone areas, the examination for these subjects is scheduled for March 3, 2025. Students from soft zone areas who missed today's exam will be accommodated on this date.

JKBOSE has urged students to stay informed through official notifications and assured them that necessary arrangements will be made to prevent academic disruptions.
