
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2026 Exam City Intimation Slips for the upcoming April session. Candidates who have registered for the second attempt of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) can now download their city allotment details from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The "Exam City Intimation Slip" provides details regarding the allocated exam center location. However, the NTA has clarified that this is not the official Admit Card. The Hall Tickets are expected to be released three to four days before the examination commences.

How to download the JEE Main 2026 Exam City Slip?
Candidates can follow these steps to access their city intimation slip:
Step 1. Visit the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Step 2. On the homepage, locate the "Latest News" or "Public Notices" section.
Step 3. Click on the link labeled "Advance City Intimation for Session 2" or similar wording.
Step 4. Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security Pin displayed on the screen.
Step 5. Click on "Submit." The city intimation slip will appear on the screen.
Step 6. Download the PDF and take a printout for future reference until the admit card is issued.

The NTA will conduct the April session, after which the best of the two scores (January and April) will be considered for the final ranking. The top 2.5 lakh candidates will qualify for JEE Advanced, the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
For admissions into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), the final JEE Main rank will be the deciding factor. Session 1 Performance Highlights
In the January 2026 session (Session 1), a total of 1,304,653 candidates appeared across various categories. The exam witnessed 12 candidates achieving a perfect 100 percentile.
Rajasthan produced the highest number of top achievers with three students, followed by Andhra Pradesh with two.
Category-wise appearance data for Session 1 showed that out of the total candidates, 452,825 were from the General category, 160,958 from EWS, 517,336 from OBC-NCL, 129,902 from Scheduled Castes, and 43,632 from Scheduled Tribes.
