
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the release date for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 provisional answer key and response sheet. As per the official update, both will be released on or before February 4, 2026, on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Around 13 lakh candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination will be able to download the provisional answer key along with their individual response sheets. The response sheet will show the answers marked by candidates during the exam, which can be matched with the answer key to get an idea of the expected score.
The NTA shared the update through its official handle, NTA_Exams. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for the latest updates.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Objection Window
After the provisional answer key is released, the NTA will open the objection window from February 4 to February 5, 2026. During this period, candidates can raise objections if they find any error in the provisional answer key.
Objections can be submitted online by logging in with application credentials and paying the required fee for each question challenged. The objections will be reviewed by subject experts.
The final result of JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be declared by February 12, after all valid objections have been considered.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Begins
The NTA has also announced the start of the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. The application window will open on February 1, and eligible candidates can apply online through jeemain.nta.nic.in. The tentative last date to submit the application form for Session 2 is February 25.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Dates
According to the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. Admit cards are expected to be released three to four days before the examination dates.
