Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has rescheduled the Class 10 Hindi and Science board exams for March 7 and 8, 2025, after cancelling them due to an alleged paper leak.

March 01, 2025 / 14:43 IST

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the re-examination dates for the Class 10 Hindi and Science board exams for 2025. The re-test will be conducted on March 7 and 8, 2025, after the original exams were cancelled due to an alleged question paper leak on social media.

Re-Examination Schedule

According to the official notification, the Hindi exam is scheduled for March 7, 2025, followed by the Science exam on March 8, 2025. This decision was taken after reports emerged that the question papers had been leaked, prompting JAC to cancel both exams on February 20, 2025.

The Class 10 Hindi exam was originally held on February 18, while the Science exam took place on February 20, 2025. Following reports of a question paper leak circulating on social media, JAC issued a notice cancelling the exams.

JAC started conducting the Class 10 (matriculation) and Class 12 (intermediate) board exams on February 11, 2025. More than 7.84 lakh students have registered for these exams, which are being held at over 2,000 centres across the state. The state government has implemented strict security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the remaining examinations.
