The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the CA Final exams will now be conducted three times a year instead of twice. Starting in 2025, these exams will be held in January, May, and September. This change will provide students with more opportunities to appear for the exams and reduce waiting time between attempts.
According to reports, ICAI has already increased the frequency of the CA Intermediate and Foundation exams to three times a year. With the latest decision, the CA Final exams will now follow the same pattern. This move ensures that all three levels—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—are conducted with the same frequency.
ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda said that this decision would benefit both students and members. He said, “These epoch-making decisions will significantly benefit both students and members, offering them enhanced opportunities for success. This move marks a new era in the way we support and guide our future Chartered Accountants. ICAI is working 24/7 for the growth of its members and students. This historic decision will ensure that both students and professionals have abundant opportunities to excel in their careers.”
Along with the CA exams, ICAI has also made changes to the Post Qualification Course (PQC) in Information Systems Audit. Previously conducted twice a year in June and December, this course’s assessment test will now be held three times a year. The new exam months will be February, June, and October.
