HPBOSE Class 12 Revised Exam Result 2025 Declared; Pass Percentage Increases to 88.64

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has declared the revised result of the Class 12 annual examination for 2025. The overall pass percentage has increased from 83.16% to 88.64%, following a re-evaluation process by the board.

According to the revised data, 76,315 students have now passed the exam, which is an increase of 5,724 students from the earlier figure of 71,591. The board revised the results after identifying an error in the English subject's evaluation.

Why the Result Was Revised

HPBOSE announced that the result had to be revised because OMR answer sheets of a cancelled English paper were mistakenly sent for scanning. This resulted in incorrect marks being included in the final scores. The board acknowledged the mistake and decided to re-check the English subject marks.

Board officials confirmed that the revised marks will only benefit students. If the new marking results in lower scores, students will not lose marks. Only increased marks, if any, will be added to their original score. The updated result was declared after this correction.

Original Result Announcement

The initial Class 12 result was declared by HPBOSE on Saturday. The event was attended by Kangra DC, Board Chairman Hemraj Bairwa, and Board Secretary Dr Vishal Sharma. The overall pass percentage at that time was 83.16%.

In the merit list, 75 students secured positions in the top 10, including 61 girls and 14 boys. Mehak from Una district topped the state.

To be declared passed, students must secure at least 33% marks in theory, practical, and overall aggregate. Students can check their updated result using their roll number and date of birth.
