Haryana School Holiday 2025

The Haryana government has announced a one-day closure of all schools—both government and private—on July 26 (Saturday) due to the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group-3 posts. The decision was confirmed by State Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda during his visit to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University in Jind.

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is conducting the CET exam on July 26 and 27, leading to heightened security and logistical arrangements. To ensure smooth exam proceedings and minimize disruptions, the government has declared a holiday for all schools on the first day of the test.

Exam Day Guidelines & Special Provisions

  • Amritdhari Sikh candidates are permitted to wear religious symbols (Kara, Kirpan, etc.) after mandatory security checks.
  • Married women appearing for the exam are exempt from wearing mangalsutra (as Teej, a major Haryana festival, is approaching).
  • All candidates must arrive early at their designated centers for security screening.
  • Massive Security & Logistical Arrangements

HSSC CET Group C Exam: Key Details

  • 13.48 lakh candidates are expected to appear.
  • 1,338 exam centers have been set up across Haryana.
  • 14,000 police personnel and 1,400 HSSC representatives will be deployed for monitoring.
  • Each center will have 10 police personnel to maintain order.

Some candidates had approached the Punjab & Haryana High Court seeking admit cards after facing technical issues. The court directed the HSSC to resolve the matter, ensuring eligible candidates can appear for the exam.

With strict security measures in place, the Haryana government aims to conduct the CET fairly and efficiently. Students, parents, and school authorities are advised to take note of the holiday and plan accordingly.
