The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) will open the application window for 2,119 vacancies, including Jail Warder and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions today, July 8. Vacancy Details
A total of 2,119 vacancies have been announced, with 1,676 posts for Jail Warder (requiring 12th pass qualification) and the remaining for PGT teachers and technical roles such as Lab Technician, Horticulture Supervisor, and Ayurvedic Pharmacist.
The recruitment follows a reservation policy with 892 unreserved posts, 558 for OBC, 312 for SC, 148 for ST, and 209 for EWS candidates. Age relaxations apply: OBC candidates get 3 years, while SC/ST candidates receive 5 years.
Eligibility Criteria
For Jail Warder posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 and meet physical standards: minimum height of 170 cm, chest size of 81-85 cm, and must clear a physical test (1600m run in 6 minutes, 13ft long jump, and 3.9ft high jump).
PGT teachers require a postgraduate degree with B.Ed, while technical roles like Lab Technician need B.Sc with 2 years of experience.
Selection Process & Salary
The selection involves a written exam, followed by a physical test for Jail Warder posts. Successful candidates will receive a salary as per Pay Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) for Jail Warder, while PGT and higher posts follow the 7th Pay Commission norms.
