The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) tomorrow, December 13, 2024. The examination is an important step for those aspiring to become teachers in schools.
CTET 2024 will consist of two papers:
- Paper 1: For candidates seeking to teach classes 1 to 5.
- Paper 2: For candidates applying to teach classes 6 to 8.
Examination Schedule and Hall Timings
- Paper 2 (Morning): Examination hall opens at 7:30 am.
- Paper 1 (Evening): Examination hall opens at 12:30 pm.
This is two hours before the respective examinations begin. Candidates are advised to report on time to avoid missing important instructions.
Guidelines for Candidates
- Entry and Reporting: Candidates must take their seats immediately after the examination hall opens. Delayed reporting may result in missing important instructions.
- Admit Card: Only candidates with a valid admit card downloaded from the CTET official website will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Entry will be denied to anyone without a valid admit card.
- Biometric Authentication: Biometric verification may be conducted at the exam centres. Candidates are advised to reach the centre well in advance to complete the process and avoid losing examination time.
- Seating Arrangement: A seat marked with a roll number will be assigned to each candidate. Candidates must sit at their designated seats. Changing seats without permission will result in disqualification.
- Punctuality: Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the exam begins.
Prohibited Items
Candidates are not allowed to bring the following items into the examination centre:
- Stationery Items: Textual material, calculators, scales, erasers, or geometry boxes.
- Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, or pagers.
- Accessories: Wristwatches, wallets, goggles, handbags, or jewellery.
- Other Restricted Items: Any object that could aid unfair means, including hidden communication devices like cameras or electronic pens.
Candidates should plan their travel to the exam centre carefully to ensure they reach on time. It is crucial to strictly follow the instructions provided in the admit card and at the examination venue to avoid complications.
