CLAT 2025 Hearing Today: Delhi High Court to Decide Result to be Revised or Not

The Delhi High Court will hear a petition on 30 January 2025 regarding the CLAT 2025 result revision.

January 30, 2025 / 11:14 IST

The Delhi High Court will hear a petition regarding the CLAT 2025 results today, January 30. Candidates raised concerns over alleged discrepancies in the CLAT answer key, which they claim may have affected the final result calculation. The petitioners are demanding a re-evaluation of the answer key and a revision of the results.

Several candidates who appeared for CLAT 2025 have approached the Delhi High Court, questioning the accuracy of the answer key. They argue that errors in the answer key have led to incorrect marking, impacting their scores and overall rankings. In response, the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has maintained that the examination process was conducted in a fair and transparent manner.

Timeline of the CLAT 2025 Dispute

The dispute over CLAT 2025 began soon after the examination was conducted on 1 December 2024. When results were declared on 7 December, candidates raised concerns about discrepancies in the answer key. These concerns were taken up by the Delhi High Court, which ruled on 20 December that the errors were "demonstrably clear" and required a revision of the results.

Following this ruling, the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) appealed against the decision. On 24 December, a division bench of the Delhi High Court allowed the Consortium to declare revised results in accordance with the earlier ruling.

The matter escalated to the Supreme Court, which on 15 January 2025 heard petitions from CNLUs seeking to consolidate similar legal challenges from different High Courts. The hearing in the Delhi High Court today will decide whether the directive to revise results will be upheld.
