The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has filed police complaints against two schools in Delhi for submitting fake land certificates during the affiliation process. This action follows a thorough scrutiny of documents submitted by the schools as part of the mandatory requirements outlined in the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018.
In a press release, CBSE stated that the schools involved are Manava Bhawna Public School, located on Nathupura Main Road, Burari, and Sat Saheb Public School, based at C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar. The Board conducted a verification of the land certificates submitted by these schools with the issuing authorities, revealing that the certificates were not genuine.
CBSE clarified that it follows a stringent process for granting affiliation to schools. The affiliation process includes the submission of mandatory documents, which are then closely scrutinised. To ensure authenticity, the Board verifies the documents with the issuing authorities. During this verification process, it was confirmed that the land certificates submitted by the two schools were fake and had not been issued by the concerned authorities.
As a result, CBSE has lodged police complaints against these schools at Preet Vihar Police Station, seeking legal action as per the law. The Board emphasised its commitment to maintaining high standards in the affiliation process and ensuring that only schools meeting all requirements are granted affiliation.
