The board had earlier postponed the examination citing safety concerns. The decision followed tensions linked to the Iran–Israel conflict in the region. The revised examination date is now 16 March 2026. The change applies to several CBSE affiliated schools abroad. Students from Gulf region countries are affected by the revision.

These include Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The board communicated the change through official earlier notifications. Additional updates were later issued for further clarification.

Amid the confusion, CBSE advised students verify information carefully. Officials requested candidates check announcements only through official channels. These include the board website and verified social accounts.

Authorities warned against trusting messages circulating without verification. The board again confirmed the revised examination date. Students should now prepare for the test on 16 March. Officials said further updates will appear only through official platforms.
