The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has started the application process for the recruitment of Block Statistical Officer (BSO) / Junior Statistical Officer. A total of 682 vacancies have been announced. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website at bssc.bihar.gov.in. Before applying, candidates must check the official notification for eligibility and other details.

Application Fee

Candidates must pay the application fee online using a credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking. The fee structure is as follows:

  • General/BC/EBC (Male): Rs 540
  • SC/ST (Bihar Residents): Rs 135
  • Divyang (All Categories): Rs 135
  • Women (Bihar Residents): Rs 135
  • Candidates from outside Bihar: Rs 540
Age Limit

As of August 1, 2024, the minimum age requirement for all categories is 21 years. Candidates are advised to check the official notification for category-wise upper age limits.

How to Apply for Bihar Statistical Officer Recruitment 2025

  1. Visit the official website bssc.bihar.gov.in and click on “Apply Online” for the recruitment.
  2. Register by entering your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID to generate a User ID & Password.
  3. Log in using the credentials and fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and category information, ensuring they match the Matriculation Certificate.
  4. Upload a passport-size photo (recent and live webcam photo), scanned signature, and relevant certificates (such as caste and disability certificates, if applicable).
  5. Select the preferred payment mode (Credit/Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking) and pay the application fee according to your category.
  6. Review all details carefully before submission, then click “Submit” and download the confirmation page.
  7. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
