The online application process for the recruitment of 15,000 Home Guard personnel in Bihar will close today, April 16, 2025. Candidates must submit their applications before the deadline to be considered for the selection process. Following the application phase, eligible candidates will undergo a rigorous physical efficiency test (PET) as part of the recruitment drive.

Selection Process and Eligibility

Race: Men must complete 1600 meters in 6 minutes; women must finish 800 meters in 5 minutes.

Height & Chest Requirements:

• Men: Minimum height of 5 feet 4 inches (162.56 cm); chest measurement of 31 inches (79 cm) without inflation.
• Women: Minimum height of 5 feet 1 inch (157.5 cm).

High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put: Each event carries five marks, with three attempts allowed.

A merit list will be prepared for candidates scoring one-and-a-half times the number of vacancies.

District-Wise Vacancies

A total of 15,000 vacancies are distributed across Bihar's districts, with the highest openings in Samastipur (741) and Madhubani (731). Candidates can apply only for their home district; applications from other districts will be rejected.
