A rare celestial event took place in Ayodhya this Ram Navami as the sacred Surya Tilak shone on the forehead of Ram Lalla at precisely 12 noon. A single ray of sunlight, directed with scientific accuracy, fell directly on the idol’s forehead at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, symbolizing the divine birth of Lord Ram.

This annual event, perfectly timed to coincide with Ram Navami, is made possible through a specially designed optical setup that channels sunlight into the sanctum sanctorum.

As the beam touched the child deity’s forehead, it formed a glowing ‘tilak,’ creating a powerful moment of spiritual radiance that combined devotion with astronomical precision.

Ram Navami, which celebrates the birth of Lord Rama — the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu — is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India, featuring bhajans, processions, and chanting.

According to Drik Panchang, the festival occurs on Navami Tithi in the Shukla Paksha of the Chaitra month.
